Ruva Rumano
Over the past year, my research has focused on strengthening postpartum care and analyzing systems that better support moms and infants. I presented posters at SGIM 2025 and Ohio State’s Women’s Health Research Day on our work implementing a quick-entry clinical documentation and charting system to standardize and scale a health system-wide postpartum primary care program. I also presented at NAPCRG 2025, sharing findings from our evaluation of the MOMI PODS dyadic care model and its impact on postpartum outcomes. I’m currently working on a manuscript that expands on the SGIM abstract.
CONTINUUM has been an important part of my growth during this time. Presenting at Works in Progress pushed me to refine my research questions and strengthen my dissertation proposal, and the feedback I received has directly influenced how I’m preparing for my candidacy exam. I’ve also gained skills in secondary data analysis, presentation, and communicating research to broader audiences. The mentorship, structure, and collaborative environment have been central to advancing my projects and supporting my growth as a maternal health researcher.
Thanks,
Ruva
